There is no one Korea right now.

There is two separate ones that are totally the opposite.



N.Korea is communist and the dictator is not kind to the people. Many are starving and have no freedom.



S.Korea is a republic and there is law, police, and freedom.

That depends on who you ask doesn't it? It is an opinion. Most free countries would probably say that South Korea is the better one. North Korea is not a free country and has recently been in the news for allegedly blowing up a S. Korean navy ship without provocation. N. Korea is the bad Korea by most Western standards.

I am a Korean and I don't think unification is the best thing for South korea. SK has better facilities, economy, schools, better everything! One study estimated that if we do unite, every South Korean would have to give a certain amount of money (I can't remember the exact figures, but it was a lot!) to north koreans. I find that extremely unfair. There are poor people in South Korea too. I don't want my taxes to go to North Koreans. And because I am 18 years old, I don't know anyone in North Korea. NK, to me, is very distant and none of my business except for nuclear threats.

If lying, starving people, repressing them into slave labor camps, censuring truths, having delusional paranoia, and downright being a crazy midget in a Nero jacket......then yes, NK is the BEST
