No! They have a lot of technology. They are even on the IMF advanced economy list as one of 32 countries.

Here's a picture of Seoul:

Does that look third world? Seoul had 10.5 million people crammed into 233.69 square miles.

South Korea is a first world country. North Korea is a second world country.

I'm sure you know South Korea is not a third world country, you post this kind of question on purpose. South Korea is a fully developed first world country

I haven't been in Korea in 1994, but for me 1994 is somewhere so far in the past that if that wasn't the year I had to make one very important decision in my life I would doubt it even existed. Could you remind your friend that in 1994 the EU was only a dream the twin towers stood tall and beautiful the Gulf war has just finished Yugoslavia and the whole Balkans were nice and comparatively peaceful place to exist Clinton was president of the US the world was surprised by the Chinese economical boom and had no idea what is behind it In 1994, I still corresponded with Korean friends using the old fashioned post, and their English was way better than mine. That's just to show how far 1994 is in time And as for the homeless, I've been living in Japan for 6 years and every single day I meet at least 4-5 homeless people. And as for plastic surgery- I have some connections in this business in Japan, so tell that user, that if he is ready to give away everything he has( house, land, car, everything), or he is Trump's nephew, he can consider Japan as an option for plastic surgery.

No. Korea is very up in technology. There are some country sides but seoul is very, very modern and advance.

And I would like to hear the reason about the poster above me who wrote some koreans have 3rd world mentality, please explain your reason.

It's not technically 3rd world anymore, but some of the Korean mentality is.
