First an experiment. I assume you don't eat kimchi for breakfast, so when you get up, take a shower and dress for school and then bring an extra piece of clothing from your closet to school and ask a good friend you trust to smell that clothing you haven't worn since washing and ask if it has an odor.

If it does have an odor, then the odor isn't from your body.

So now ask that same friend to smell you and tell you whether you have an odor. If not, you just need to keep showering in the mornings before school, or perhaps just shower any time, but do it every day. If you do have an odor after showering and it's not from your clothes, then it's probably from something you eat regularly... maybe the kimchi, maybe some spice your mother uses heavily and regularly.

Approach finding the reason logically and I'd guess you have a good chance of solving it.

Good luck.

Your "friend" should shut up...seriously. Kimchi is part of your culture and yes, it does come out of your pores if you eat a lot of it. So, only thing you can do is not eat it. However, I do not believe you should be so self conscience about it. In fact, you should bring enough for your friend for lunch so he can experience the joy of kimchi. FYI, I am sure your friend smells "weird" to your family because of all the dairy and beef your friend eats. Next your friend will want you to dye your hair blonde and get blue contacts.

My mom says that it actually, literally goes through your pores.

I would say the easiest way is to eat as little of it as possible.
