So next summer I'll supposed to go to Seoul and i heard it rains a lot due to monsoons? I'm from Washington state and so rain usually isn't a problem for me (especially the last few weeks. . We've been getting downpour that caused a parking lot to get 3 feet deep. .. honestly it was like a swimming pool) lol I was wondering though if anyone could explain more about the weather? I heard it gets really humid as well (same with Washington of course. .. our "80º" weather is like... well hell lol) Thanks!

The monsoon season begins in June and ends in July. It's on and off for the two months and it won't be rainy every single day. It might rain heavily a week straight at some point but there's no way to know exactly when so far in advance. Usually people here carry an umbrella around most of the time during the monsoon season "just in case". Even when it's raining it's very hot and muggy and the rain actually makes that worse.

The whole summer is pretty hot and muggy, around 85-90 degrees F would be an average reading but it will feel more like 100+ in temperature. August is the worst heat wise and often you'll feel like you're walking into an oven when you step out the door. Busan is always more humid/hot than other cities but the country as a whole is very hot/humid.

You should dress in cool, breathable fabrics. Korea isn't as conservative as it once was but you still won't see girls wearing tank tops with bra straps and whatnot showing - and I wouldn't advise wearing tank tops even if you're tempted to by the heat. Always at least T-Shirt length sleeves or a light cardigan (there are even ones that are basically see through for summer). Girls will and do often wear short-shorts/ultra mini skirts however - so much that it gets to be an issue with modesty at times. Korea has so many cute clothing shops, personally I would bring outfits from home but also go shopping here.

I've been here for a few summers anyway and I'm heading into another now and it's in the 80s everyday. It's not so humid that it's unbearable now but it will be there soon.

I heard it's VERY hot and humid.Even now in June it is like 28 degrees, 29 , so just imagine the weather in the middle of summer., but it's not like it'd be HOT HOT every SINGLE day, some days it'd be more windy than others or even rainy :)

I like to visit Korea in Spring or Autumn but not in summer,..

its hot and humid, and the wind blow from China bring the yellow dust from Gobi dessert.

Very wet yet fairly warm. My buddies went final year summer season yet desperate to return in Spring next year via climate and that's amazing atmosphere in Spring in case you form in 'Korea Spring' or 'Korea blossoms'. have exciting once you do bypass
