I wonder why 朴 is spelled Park in Alphabet. I think, according to the Hangul Alphabet We should spell 朴 without an R, Pak.

A lot of Korean names have been incorrectly Romanized (written with English letters) incorrectly, but it's been the standard for awhile so they just kept it that way.

You can blame it on the McCune–Reischauer romanization, which is the oldest Korean language romanization systems. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCune–Reischauer)

I think the current, revised romanization for 박 is actually "Bak".

Revised Romanization is the present conventional, and it is not an undemanding conventional to stay with. quite Kim, Lee, Choi etc. are all properly spelled even decrease than the present policies. it is by technique of the fact Revised Romanization particularly does not persist with to Korean family contributors names. So laver (dried paper seaweed) is spelled Gim, the comparable observe as a acceptance is spelled Kim, even however the version in spelling in ordinary terms exists in English and not in Korean (?). i've got enclosed a link decrease than that facilitates make sparkling fairly some the information to the Revised Romanization conventional. wish that facilitates.
