Does anyone know what the test consists of? like is it grammar test, spelling test, comprehension or what? it should be fairly easy for someone who lived in America for 10+ years and fully understands english right?

and if someone really stands out during the test like maybe they aced it 100% and fully represents the capability of understanding and comprehending the english language, then do they have a slight advantage rather than purely based upon the lottery system?

To become a KATUSA, the Korean Manpower ***. goes by your TOEIC test. You have to score at least an 800 and pass a few other physical and psych. evals. Unfourtunately it's all done by a lottery system. So they basically throw all the applicants in a hat and pick however many they need. Unless you have some Korean or American high military connections, the chances are up in the air if you'll be selected or not.

My understanding is the Korean government gives out the TOEIC test, which would be fairly easy for someone who has lived in an english speaking country for 10+ years.
