Does the subway in Korea stop running at night? Or does the entire thing always stay open?

You will have to take a taxi (expensive) if you stay that late. Last train is at 11pm (you do know you have to take a bus or taxi from the closest subway stop to Everland right?) but won't take you all the way back to the Hongdae area. You better leave no later than 10:00. The last express bus from Yongin back to the Nambu Bus Terminal is at 10:20 and take 35 minutes to get to the terminal and you would still have to catch the subway. So, you should plan accordingly. The subway DOES NOT run 24/7. BTW< I am sure you know the taxi fares go up after the subway stops because they know its the only way folks can get home. That is why there are yeogwan to stay in overnight until the trains and the buses are running in the morning. If you miss your bus/train, it would be cheaper to stay the night than take a taxi.
