It's rare to have training less than at least two years. The least is 3 years from the idols I know. If they think you have the looks, the potential and are responsible enough and work well with others then they'll debut you, but there's no guarantee at all that you'll debut after just a year of training. It takes time and even if you're a fast learner, it also still takes time to learn a whole language. But the tips I can give you, is pretty much just work your hardest, do your best and don't give up. Good luck :)

There's around 10-20% of that happening, if you were really talented, really good looking, and spoke many languages (such as English, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese). SM tends to train their trainees for longer than 3 years minimum. Excluding Ryeowook, and 2 others I think. However, there still is a chance, if you stay really late after your mandatory practice is over, but because you will still be in school, it would be extremely hard for you to do all your work, and practice too. Korea has different ages. If you are 13 in North America, you will be 15/16 in Korea depending on your birthday. I think it's moderately possible that you will debut before you are 17(19/20 in Korea), but you have to really give it your all. The fact that you can dance and sing won't really increase your chances of debuting faster because being able to dance and sing a bit is mandatory for you to be accepted. However, if you can dance and sing very well then it definitely raises your chances of debuting faster.

From my past experience with debuting faster.. All I can say is stay way after your trainers release you, and barely take breaks (excluding fast water breaks), and just stay focused. Also, unless you quit school (which I don't recommend doing), you will need to keep okay/good grades or there's a chance the company might stop you from training until you reach a certain mark, and that's never good. Have a positive attitude- that one really matters, no matter what happens if you have a positive and a happy overall attitude, they take that into consideration when they are thinking of a new group. Make sure you are likable, and friendly.

To begin with you'd have to have the usual stunning assets associated with Korean celebrities such as clear, healthy skin, beautiful face, quite skinny, multilingual, excellent voice, good dancer (this is a requirement, especially for a massive company like SM). Second of all, the answers so far are correct, even if you were the most AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, ALREADY PERFECT natural talent (but idk, so yeah) it would take a minimum of 3 years as a trainee and then some as your debut may not be as successful as you wish. If you are to be accepted as a trainee (and one headed for debut at that) you must have an image that is either unique or very easily and well sold. The learning of the language doesn't matter as much, anyone can help you out with that. But a LOT of time, dedication, big decisions and performing will be ahead of you regardless of result. Good luck ^_^

Hi Allyson. Let us assume that you are one of the luckiest person to be choosen but as far as I know , I f you're a trainee (SM) it really takes you a lot of time before u debut as a kpop star. SM usually trained their trainees almost 4 yrs but if you are really have a amazing voice and a beautiful face , I think you might debut in the age of 17.

Tips:

Q1) Yea, you sing and dance however its no longer freestyle, you could choreograph a dance and simply carry a CD. Q2) I plan on auditioning too, so i will sing both one song in Korean one in english. So that they can see how I sing in each languages. Q3) I've in no way heard this track earlier than, however its adorable, you will have to sing any music in which you feel fits your voice nice. Q4) when you learn their website, they stated you would play an instrument too, however in my opinion I dont feel it might matter. Q5) They dont give you a suite time, so i might say in most cases 2 weeks to a month. Q6) For SM they dont have american training felicities like JYP and YG, so yep I feel you may need to. But they pay for it. Q7) In SM you're going to surely debut, however what I fear about extra is the learning interval it might be as lengthy a 8 years like SNSD Taeyeon or as little as 6 months like Sunny. Q8) all of it relies on how developed your voice and dancing are. Q9) No certainly not, SM are probably the most companies that take trainees young so they can individually mildew you. Q10) Its rough to inform, I doubt it though on account that when SNSD Tiffany used to be a trainee she simplest talked to her parents on the telephone. But nowadays there are extra government rules applying to minors within the entertainment trade so i am assuming they offer you a smash. Q11) this is also hard to tell, i am almost completely confident they do not beat you however its not long-established in Korea for a instructor to hit a scholar, not like a punch however a faucet on the top with a publication, or making you sit down in a scolding role, however I doubt they do that with trainees. Q12) SM is continuously about looks, I warn you if you dont wish to get plastic surgical procedure dont become a member of SM, they cant legally make you however for those who refuse then they would kick you out, Idk if they'll or not. Q13) i'd think its if you end up making ready to debut. Q14) Me too I additionally need to be within the Kpop industry, but its about if its your dream or now not. I'm no longer announcing do dangerous in institution or whatever like that seeing that you'll audition in Korea but devote yourself to making ready to audition. Practice singing and dancing. Seem into all of the viable companies to audition for SM, YG, JYP, theres loads. Study, work difficult. Its not an easy project and also you need to be utterly certain that this is what you wish to have to do. Q15) Yeah you might live in Korea in a dorm with other trainees, you may go to college, educate, be trained/be trained korean, chinese, and japanese. Q16) again in the event you work rough you'll have a excessive danger of getting in. Good luck!! I hope you do well!!
