I'm a full time EPIK Teacher at a public school in Korea and would recommend EPIK above any other type of employment offered in Korea. Lack of teaching experience will not hinder you from begin accepted, as long as you apply way in advance. No you don't need a TEFL to teach at EPIK, but will get a 100,000 Won pay raise if you TEFL has a minimum of 100 hours.
This website, called ESL-South-Korea, has everything you need to know about teaching English in Korea. Topics like job requirements, to application, to types of schools, to the working environment, is covered in detail. There's even a huge section on Korean culture and adjusting to live in Korea.

I hope that's college graduation. You need a four year degree to teach legally.

EPIK has as optional requirements, experience and/or TEFL cert so they do take people without experience. The more qualifications you have and if you have experience, the more you will get paid.

I would do a CELTA or Trinity TESOL TEFL certificate. They take 4 weeks to complete and cost about £750-£1000. Having some basic teaching experience and knowledge will mean you are a lot better at doing the job. The students will respect you a lot more if you know how to teach.

EPIK has levels. You can enter with just a BA. There are other places to teach as well

EPIK won't screw you over as far as visas, housing, pension, or severance go. Pay is decent as well, but classes are best.
