Naver.com has a foreigner registration process. I would like to play a game but when I login to play it, it requires my ID/Passport Number and scanned image of it. Would it be safe to do give out this information?

I wouldn't. :/ I'm a Korean and I've always wanted to make a Naver account, but my parents never let me, especially since it's really easy for those identification numbers to be exposed. Same with Cyworld...I never got one because I didn't want to risk the small chance of getting my identity stolen.

Can't you play some of the games online without registering, though? I go on Naver sometimes on play games...and most of them don't require signing in.

Hmm... I never heard of anyone not allowed to make a naver account

I personally think the site is safe enough. If it wasn't, why would there be so many registered accounts?
