I'm preparing for my JYP online audition which I hope to complete soon and just want a little input from some fellow k-poppers. First of all, which dance do you think would be a good idea? I know quite a few, but I was thinking either Miss A's breathe or The boys by Girls generation. If you can think of a better one I could learn or one you think would impress them please do tell. Also do you think it would be a good idea to introduce myself in Korean since they're a Korean company? I only know a tiny bit of Korean but I have been assured they teach you if you're accepted. Wish me luck! - Also I put this in 'Korea' because of the type of music sorry for any inconvenience! ^^

I don't know where @❁Y❁ got his/her information from, but I can tell you that a majority of what they said isn't true. Doing a dance from an American artist isn't any different than doing a dance from a Korean artist, if it showcases your dancing abilities then by all means, do it! As for introductions, I suggest you introduce yourself in English, and maybe a little self introduction in Korean like "Annyonghaseyo, _______ im ni da". For what @❁Y❁ said about "them not teaching people who don't know Korean", Tiffany from SNSD, Nicole from Kara, Nichkhun from 2PM, Amber and Victoria from f(x), as well as many others did not know Korean and were tutored after being accepted.

But anywho, between Miss A's 'Breathe' and SNSD's 'The Boys', I suggest The Boys, which has more complicated dance moves, whereas Breathe is more simple and almost anyone can follow. You could maybe even do 'Cry Cry' by t-ara, 'Paparazzi' by SNSD. You might even capture their attention by doing a dance by some boy groups like Infinite's 'The Chaser'. Haha just some suggestions! Good luck on your online audition, wish you the best! :)

Well I'm no pro but I think you should do The Boys, even though Miss A is a JYP group The boys can show your dance skills better. As for you intro I think you should do it in both English and Korean just to show that you are capable of doing so. I hope you're accepted. Best of luck :)

First of all,you should not be auditioning because of kpop. And you should ask someone with actual talent for advice. And second of all,DO NOT do a kpop dance. That is a no no.JYP is NOT for you to try out because you like kpop, sweetheart. They are a major korean ent company looking for actual talent. If you do not know fluent korean, that is not smart.I suggest you talk in english sing in korean if you can (not a kpop song. Please do not. There are korean songs that are not kpop)They rarely teach people who don't know korean. They will assume you are fluent or native.Actually,it is highly unlikely you even have a chance. It will take years to teach you korean and korean characters that they do not want, despite what anyone says. And I suggest if you audition not make it obvious that you like kpop.No ent company wants a kpop fan that tried out because they like kpop.If that is the only reason you are trying out you might as well not, because you will not make it.

Well, you don't have to do a kpop song. Choose a song where you will be able to show of your skill the best. If your good at popping and locking, choose an electronic song or hip hop song. Make sure your dance is powerful and choose a song that will pump you up!
