Is it just me or do a lot of Korean guys have ears pierced?

It's not more than 50%, but 10 ~ 20% korean teenagers have their ears pierced.

So what? I live in a country in Europe and the majority of guys have ear piercing. My husband is one of them and he's had his ears pierced for more than 10 yrs now. If you notice Korean pop singers/young actors, their ears are pierced, heck they even wear guy liner.

It is quite common. However a lot of American guys have pierced ears, Multiple piercings.

coz it's their style? lol.. idk.. but guys in my country(in asia) have piercings too..

Yes, some (not a lot) of Korean guys / Asian guys in general have their ears pierced. :)



I don't see why people think this is "gay", Asian culture and Western culture are really different - they perceive certain styles differently. People are exposed to different styles in day-to-day life, and so when they see something that's "different" - for example, hair styles, clothing, piercings and the way they act.. they'd see it as "weird". When actually, it's quite normal in that country.

I don't see why some western people ridicule Korean / Asian style and see it as "girly" - just accept it for the way it is, that we all have our own style, we all look different - and thus, we all dress and act differently.



I'm sick of how people think piercings are only for girls, who cares if a guy has their ears pierced? Let them do what they want, it's their body, it's their image... if you think it's "gay" or "girly" then don't do it to yourself, problem solved. Ridiculing others wouldn't make less "gay" or more "manly", and it doesn't make you look any better.
