I'm going to Seoul and Tokyo this upcoming July or August but i don't know if I should stay 2 weeks in Tokyo and then 2 weeks in Seoul, or 1 week at each.
I know cost would be cheaper but I want to make sure i'm experiencing everything I can while i'm there!:)

Well just strolling around in Tokyo and Seoul would be worth your time. There is so much to see, not just the usual sight seeing places.but walk around different paarts of the city. You could spend one day in Akihabara shopping for electronics and games and those anime dolls. You can go to Osaka where the living expense is lower and food better.

Two weeks each. Why not? Traveling is better than staying home.

But honestly: you might run out of stuff to do if you spend more than a week in each of those places. Seoul, especially. Fortunately both have wonderful connections to nearby cities and attractions. You could take the train out of Tokyo and the bus out of Seoul. Only five hours on the bus from Seoul and you're at the far end of the country.

As far as cost goes, Korea is about 1/3 of the cost of Japan. Consider that when making your plans.

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the place where over 13 million people live, making it one of the most populous cities in the world but also, a big city to visit, find out more with hotelbye . Most of the city was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and then again by the bombing in the WWII, however, Tokyo was able to achieve a remarkably rapid recovery both times. The main attraction of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace with its beautiful 17th-century parks surrounded by walls and moats. The palace is still in use by the Imperial family.

If you like to take your time, lounge around and slowly sight see, I would stay two weeks. If you are a quicker sight seer, has set schedules for the day and such, you would be perfectly fine with one week.
